Farm and Ranch Coverage

The farmowners package provides coverage for your dwelling, household contents, barns & outbuildings, farm personal property (hay, machinery, tack, tools, etc.), farm liability, personal liability and umbrella coverage all on one policy. Auto insurance is available on qualifying accounts.

Provides coverage for those whose operations consist of horse boarding, breeding, training, riding instructions or horse sales. The policy can also include coverage for horse shows, clinics, day camps, equine professional services liability and handicapped or therapeutic riding. Coverage is not available for certain risks such as public trail rides, pony rides, birthday parties, petting zoos or rough stock events. Limits up to $1,000,000 per occurrence are available.

Equine Care, Custody or Control is an essential coverage for all horse operations which involve non-owned horses, including boarding, breeding and training. The standard farm liability insurance policy excludes coverage for personal property (horses for example) in your Care, Custody or Control. This coverage fills the gap by protecting you from liability for damage to non-owned horses in your Care, Custody or Control. This coverage does not apply to horses that you own or lease. Equine mortality Insurance is designed for those needs.

EQUINE EVENT LIABILITY (horse shows and clinics)

Policy includes protection for the individual or organization running the event and also protects the show officials and premise owner. Coverage is provided for negligence that causes bodily injury or property damage to a third party. The coverage period includes the actual show/clinic days and can include coverage for set-up and take down. Policy can be written as a short-term or annual basis. Limits up to $1,000,000 per occurrence are available.

Horse Owners are faced with unique liability exposures that may not be adequately covered under normal personal liability policies such as a homeowner policy. The policy covers a horse owner’s legal liability for both bodily injury and property damage to others resulting from horse ownership. Individual owners of personal or show horses who do not derive income nor are involved commercially are eligible. Limits up to $1,000,000 per occurrence are available.
